First of all, we hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years.
SL4GR made history by breaking news that LU will be planning an awesome range! (To see details of range, and article we wrote, click here.)
In fact, we owe you a thank you. And as President Falwell said in the Washington Post, our activism played a key role in the plans to build the range.
“Falwell said that the concept for the new shooting range came from student interest in firearms. He noted that one of the more vibrant and engaged student groups on campus [Students at Liberty for Gun Rights] is dedicated to safeguarding the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
‘We have a very pro-Second Amendment student body,’ Falwell said.”

But we’re not out of the woods yet. There’s still one more public hearing before LU can break ground. If you’re in Lynchburg, please attend to show your support.
The hearing is January 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the Haberer Building in Rustburg, VA.
The address is below, or click here for directions.

We hope you can attend this meeting and show your support this range!
A word from our Founder…
When I founded SL4GR a few years ago, I never knew it would have exploded with such enthusiasm. Promoting the Second Amendment through SL4GR has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The guest speakers, range days, and club events have been quite the thrill.
With this said, it’s time for a change in SL4GR. Because of upcoming graduation in May, I am stepping down as President of SL4GR.
But I’m excited to announced addition of two new officers to the leadership – Tanner Ray as Executive Director and Cassy Ford as Chairwoman. I’m ecstatic to have these two on the team, and excited to see them take SL4GR to new heights.
